Young Justice: The Rise of Brainiac 7 Character Profiles

Post by Guest on Mon Sep 24, 2012 10:35 am

The Justice League members begin to vanish, one by one, and no one knows why at first. Suddenly, the headquarters of Young Justice gets an urgent video message from Nightwing, saying he seemed to have stumbled upon something - something BIG, but his message is abruptly cut off by an image of Brainiac, saying nothing but, "All of your heroes and mentors have now fallen under my control. You too shall follow, along with the entire human-race. Earth will become one with my Legion. It's inevitable." The transmission then cuts off and all attempts to contact Batman again have failed, everyone seems to understand just how deep and serious the situation they were in had gotten. Mankind was in trouble. And only they and a select few could hope to protect them.

I will be open to more ideas to broaden the plot a little (or a lot!) and Since some people need an example for character creation, here you go.

Secret ID: Riven Kent-Roth, (adoptive name is Darnell)
Superhero Alias: Crow
Group / Alliance Affiliation(s): Young Justice
Position in group/alliance: the one with Anger issues that both annoys and fascinates and annoys everyone.

Nickname(s): Crow, Birdy, Rye, Mr. Gloom & Doom (So far only Raven calls him that).
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Nationality: Irish, German, Spaniard, Italian, Azarathian and Kryptonian
Current Residence: Happy Harbor

General Personality: Emerson is a bit overly naive and slow sometimes due to the fact that he was a test-tuber. He has also developed an amazingly exaggerated anger problem, usually leading to him breaking something or hurting someone. However, he does have his moments of extreme childishness and cuteness, often seeming like a cute little country boy instead of a dangerous Alien/Demon hybrid.

Memorable Quote(s): "What the hell is wrong with you?"
"AAGHH! I'll be in my room!"
"No one goes into my room, GOT IT!?
"Azarath Metrion Zinthos"

sexual orientation: Bisexual with a heavy male preference
[hider=Powers & Weakness]Power(s): Soul-Self - The basis of almost all of Riven powers are derived from his soul-self. He is able to project his soul from his body into corporeal form, allowing him to use it to interact with the physical world, to affect others mentally and to traverse through space. His soul-self takes the form of a double of his own body or more commonly, a large black raven. He is capable of changing it's shape and size at will. Though normally composed of energy that is colored black, Riven's soul-self can change color depending on his emotional state, manifesting as red or white.

Demon Transformation - When Riven is highly upset, he can transform into his half-demon self, usually with four glowing red eyes (a trait inherited from his demon grandfather, Trigon) and sprouting black tentacles from under his hood. He has little control over his actions in this state

Levitation - Riven can levitate off the ground and fly, without visible projection of his dark energy as is shown when he utilizes telekinesis.

Multilingualism - Riven is a skilled polyglot, capable of fluently speaking English, German, Latin, Romanian, Ancient Sumerian, and Sanskrit.

Empathy - The power to sense the emotions of others, allowing him to gain insight into their thoughts and intentions, and even experience their own feelings.

Super strength - This is one of main abilities, allowing him to easily pick up or carry heavy objects.

Invulnerability - Like Superman, Superboy, and Supergirl, Riven is nearly indestructible. This invulnerability allows him to rush into dangerous scenes with little care for what might actually happen.

Super hearing - Riven can pick up the faintest of sounds over long distances.

Infrared vision - This ability allows Riven to visually detect heat signatures, allowing him to easily see in the dark.

Weakness(es): Code words - When people said the words "Red Sun" or "White Semon" to Crow, he will black out for several hours, remaining completely still until he snaps out of the hypnotic trance.

Kryptonite - Due to his Kryptonian DNA, Riven is vulnerable to the unique radioactive properties of this green mineral. However, his Azarathian DNA appears to afford him greater resiliency compared to a pure Kryptonian, although he still finds it very painful.

Emotions - Riven's main weakness is letting go of his emotions, especially rage. Even though his rage seems powerful, it could potentially corrupt him, leaving him very vulnerable to attacks with more power than his own.

If Riven suppresses his fear, he is unable to connect with his powers until he admits he is truly afraid.

His ultimate weakness is his Rage, surprisingly enough. Other emotions aren't as earth trembling as Riven's temper. His anger is in the form of Trigon inside his mirror, which was inherited from Ravin after he was placed in Young Justice, the anger turns to another one of him, with Trigon's eyes and a red cloak. Extreme anger is what changes him from his regular self to his demonic side practically every time.

Another weakness is his dependence on his darkness. If a gag is placed over his mouth, he cannot complete his spell and he cannot connect with his powers until the gag is removed.
Background: He was created in a Lab controlled by the light under the name "Project Kr-A", which was created using the DNA of both Superman and Raven. He was obscured by the Justice League's Black Canary and Wonder Woman. After they realized the Genomes had only taught me the basic information that all humans know, plus multiple languages, the inducted him into Young Justice under the name Riven Kent-Roth A.K.A Crow. Which was only one month ago.
Extra: he has a pet Fruit Bat named Nostalgia, who loves Pomegranates.
