Kara: Yeah, and we can ask the chief what to do with the barbarian.

(later, in the village of Halfberk, whos residency housing consists of a mix of treehouses, cabins, treetop perches for dragons, and a longhall in the center of town, next to an old, dead tree only half-covered in bark.)
Kara: So this is Halfbark, home of NOT berserkers. Up ahead there is the chief's longhouse.

Eira: Alright. *Looks around* So, where is there food, and where can me and Thunderthorn sleep?

Mangus unties a load of fire wood for the main hall and takes it in.

Kara: Probably in the jail, depending on what Hauberk says.
(in the longhouse, they meet with Hauberk, the chief of the village. A middle-aged viking with a long, black beard. Standing by him is Ralof, the best dragon trainer in the village. He has short blonde hair and a goatee.)
Kara: Uh, Hauberk, sir, and uh..heh...Ralof...*blushes a bit* We uh, found this barbarian out by the lumber mill.
Hauberk: *furrows his brow* Oh, from Outcast Island, are you?

Eira: Berserk Island, actually.
She crosses her arms in annoyance at how people are acting around her.
Eira: And before you ask, I'm not a part of the Berserker tribe. Not anymore.

Ralof: Tsk. No wonder she's a barbarian. I could smell her when she first entered the hall.
Hauberk: Quiet, Ralof. *to Eira* What can we call you, and why did you leave your island?

Magnus walks in as Ralof and the Chief are talking to her.
Magnus:Hmmm. Hey Ralof where's your dragon?

Eira: Well for starters, you can just call me Eira. As for why I left, the Chief of my tribe: Oswald the Agreeable was "retired" by his son, Dagur. Now he's calling himself Dagur the Deranged and despite the fact that the Berserkers have been a peaceful tribe for over 50 years, he plans to ruin that by bringing them back to their "former glory".

Ralof: Excuse me? I train with him 15 hours every day. Who are you to tell me how to train my dragon?
Hauberk: Truly? ...*strokes his beard* How exactly...does he plan on doing that?

Eira: Well, Dagur was building an armada of ships with plans to go to Berk for the annual peace treaty signing with their tribe. I figured that knowing our new chief it wouldn't go well, and I left the island shortly after they left.

Eira: I found Thunderthorn a few days after I left Berserk Island, a storm destroyed my boat and he was on the island I was stranded on.

Hauberk: Lass, if what yer saying is true, we must ready our defenses immediately. Also, I offer you a place in the village, mostly for protection. I know the barbarians aren't too keen on deserters. Hey, obviously since yer a talented trainer, having trained a skrill, maybe you can help Kara find a dragon. *chuckles*

Eira: That's nice of you, sir. But no thanks, I'm better off just staying for the next few days before heading off. Though.... *Looks at Kara and shrugs* I suppose I can help her find a dragon companion.

Kara: *sighs* Well, not like it matters. None of the dragons around here seem to even care about me, even if I give them fish.
